If your cat is outgoing and curious, this is the boarding place for him. This room offers several unit sizes, all with some type of platform for climbing and perching. All but one of the boarding units in this room offer a view of the reception area, allowing your cat to keep in touch with the comings and goings of the clinic. Some of these units will allow multiple cat households to board their cats together at a discounted fee. Others are designed for only one cat.
All cats must be up to date on the appropriate vaccinations, with documentation provided from your veterinarian. For further information, please email us.
Private Boarding Room
If your cat prefers less activity around him, the private boarding room is the place to be. We have a designated boarding room in our downstairs facility. This room has a window to outside, allowing lots of natural daylight to flood in. The units are 3 feet wide by two feet deep by two feet high. These units can be joined by a porthole, which allows the cat to move freely from one area to the other. At an owner’s request, an adjoining unit can be reserved. Many of our boarding units also have shelves for those cats that prefer to sleep or perch off the main floor of the unit.
All cats must be up to date on the appropriate vaccinations, with documentation provided from your veterinarian. For further information, please email us.
What if my cat has a chronic health problem?
Cats with chronic illnesses such as diabetes mellitus, kidney insufficiency and other conditions are welcome to board with us. These cats must be scheduled for a pre-boarding appointment with the veterinarian, thus allowing us to familiarize ourselves with your cat's condition. We will also review your cat’s medical record to ensure that there are no outstanding care needs. We reserve the right to decline the boarding of a chronically ill cat that is not considered stable enough to handle the stress of boarding, or that has not had regular healthcare follow up with the referring veterinarian.
Grooming
The Charing Cross Cat Clinic offers feline grooming services to patients of the clinic. Owners of cats who are not patients of the clinic are welcome to book their cats in for a wellness visit prior to scheduling their groom. The clinic does not employ a professional groomer. Lion clips, shave downs, brush outs and baths are available for our patients. No poodle clips here! Sedation requirements will be discussed as deemed necessary.
All cats being booked in for grooming need to be up to date (within one year) on their wellness examination at Charing Cross, and up to date on the appropriate vaccinations necessary for in-hospital stay. For further information, please email us.
